Seascape and Hilltop: The Best of both at Gulugod

Sunset at the Campsite
Most of us prefer to go to the sea to relax as the sound of the waves crashing to the shore really hits that moment of peace away from the stress of the city. There are of course those who loves a hike in the hills or mountains as it soothes the body with a breath of fresh air and a good view of the setting sun. For those who loves to enjoy the company of nature, well, you can enjoy both at a place called Mt. Gulugod Baboy.

It lies at a town in Batangas called Mabini, named after the Hero known as the Brain of the Revolution. The jump-off point is at the part of the town called Anilao where the boating and island hopping resorts are located. Anilao is a good spot for snorkling and diving as well.

The hike for Mt. Gulugod Baboy is a fairly easy trek, highly recommended for beginners and seasoned hikers alike. There are three stops until you reach the peak. The view is stunning and the campsite is pretty wide. It looks like the marlboro country of Batangas, wide grasslands and cool breeze from the sea. Camping here is really an extraordinary experience.

The Milky Way at the Campsite
There are so many campers that go here especially during weekends. Not very far from Manila, it is often the choice of campers for a nature-filled weekend adventure.

The Summit

The views here are stunning even at night.

For those who loves taking starry photos like me, this is a very good place to do that. Just make sure you prepare the necessary things for taking night photos.

Star-filled Sky at the Summit
With just a few hours away from the cities of the NCR, Mt. Gulugod Baboy and Anilao offers an exceptional campsite with stunning views and a diving spots side-by-side with each other. A place to enjoy boatrides and hilltop hikes, Anilao, Mabini, Batangas.
